Online Flirting – A New Art Form

It is not well known that many of the same things work for online flirting that work for “brick and mortar” flirting and all relationships begin with successful flirting.  Flirting is an art that requires oozing confidence without being OTT.  If you go too far, she will label you “slimyâ If you don’t go far enough, she will label you âwimpy”.  So how do you achieve that point half way between slimy and wimpy and do it online without using eye contact or body language?  All you have is a computer an internet connection and membership in an online dating site, right?

  1. Have fun! Have more fun!  Be light-hearted, funny and entertaining.  Make her eager to talk to you again.  Flirting is playful.

  1. Ooze confidence.  Successful flirts have a positive outlook on life.  You need to transmit the “feel good” factor.  An optimistic attitude attracts females like honey attracts flies.

  1. 3.  Compliment her…and do it often and sincerely.  Nothing opens doors like making her feel good about herself.  She will want to spend more time with you and if she pays you a compliment say “thank you. Do Not be self depreciating.

  1. Listen…listen….listen.  Pay attention to what she says and ask appropriate questions.  Get her to open up and talk about herself.  Make her feel like she is interesting and that you are interested in her.  Works wonders!

  1. Don’t be rude.  Flirting does not include being sexually explicit nor taking offence if the lady isn’t responding to you. If she isn’t interested, take the hint and move on to the next prospect.  If you get a lot of rejections, you should probably consider a different approach.

  1. Send an email after you chat.  This ranks right up there with sending a thank you note for a gift and it is vital to successful flirting.

Don’t try to go too fast.  Flirting is the first step to a successful relationship. Slow things down and really get to know a person

Internet vs Blind Date

Okay, so this is how it goes down. Your friend has suddenly decided that you need help with your social life so she sets you up with a blind date….a friend of a friend of a friend.  You, foolishly, accept.  Now there you are. It’s less than one hour since you were introduced.  You aresitting in a Thai restaurant and you hate Thai food.  The entrée has not yet been served.  His idea of enlightened conversation is whowill be in the final four…you aren’t into sports. He knows the weekly TVschedule verbatim….you haven™t sat through a movie in months because you run marathons and volunteer at the local food bank. He says, “Volunteering is a waste of time because you can’t help ‘those people’ anyway.” You glance at your watch; see that it’s only been 10 minutes since you last looked at it the last time and wonder how long it is before you can gracefully remove yourself fromthe situation.  Been there?

Take a minute and now imagine a date with someone you met through internet dating and have been chatting online with and exchanging emails with for quite some time. First, you don’t need to be introduced.  You already know this man.  You are sitting in an Italian restaurant enjoying a delightful meal because you both know that the other’s favorite is Italian. The conversation flows easily as you discuss common interests.  He runs marathons and loves history just like you do. You happily discuss the volunteer work that each of you is involved in. You look at your watch and discover that it is late…very late¦where Has the time gone.

Notice there is a big difference between a well-intentioned friend “setting you up” and choosing a man for yourself who shares your interests and tastes, isn’t there?  Now which one would you rather have?

How To Find The Right Online Dating Site?

1) Pay Site versus Free Site

First off, one of the biggest decisions when it comes to online dating sites is whether to use a free site with tons of ads or to actually pay for a membership. Free sites can be very effective and can give you many options for potential connections. But, they have a tendency to be busier with more people which brings in more types of people. Freeloaders, people who aren’t who they say they are and players.  Pay sites, on the other hand, may draw in a more serious type of online dater who is truly looking for an honest connection and likely a long-term relationship. The drawback here is that you have to pay for it. Your decision between pay and free sites will be based on what you’re hoping to find and what you can afford.

2) Niche Dating Sites

Some people are really into certain things. For those out there who dedicate themselves to serious passions or interests, a niche site may be a great way to meet like-minded individuals. Some of these sites are geared specifically towards people looking for marriage and others may be centered more on a specific religion or lifestyle. This could be something like dating by religion, culture or even hobby. Whether you’re looking for someone who is dedicated to a certain sport or has a deep political inclination, a niche site can really be something worth looking into as a way to meet someone online.

3) Popular Online Dating Communities

Three of the online dating giants such as eHarmony, Match, or PlentyOfFish are often mentioned first, you’ll probably be impressed at the sheer volume of potential matches these sites can offer. But because these sites are so popular, they can give you plenty of options and features to search through They usually have excellent tools on their site to set you up with the perfect match or at least a few people you’ll likely  be interested in

These sites are usually easy to navigate and have great e-mail and instant messaging services. While they lack the specificity of smaller sites, they often allow you to set a customized criteria of what you’re looking for. Some sites, such as OKCupid, will give you a series of personality quizzes to determine the best matches for you.

Take half an hour sometime and browse through a few of the sites  looking for ones that make you feel comfortable to you and easy to use. Some of them have free trials, give them a try but be aware that some sites will charge you automatically if you forget to cancel your trial in time. If one site doesn’t work for you, set up a profile on another one. Don’t be discouraged if you have a bad experience from any one site in particular as there are thousands to to try. Different sites are designed to attract certain types of people, so finding the one that works for you is the best way to find the match that suits you. Good luck!

So, What Are the Odds of Finding Mr. Right Through Online Dating?

Its hard not to be negative but the odds of finding your “soul-mate” online are a lot better than you may actually think. It doesn’t happen for everyone, of course, but it can happen for you. The world of internet or online dating has exploded over the last few years.

As our lives become busier and busier we need to make better use of our time and energy in our search for the one man who will make our lives complete. He is out there and you will find him. Usually when you stop looking is when it happen

Try and Try again. The old saying, “You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince” is no longer true. Why kiss frogs when you can read hundreds of profiles and look at the pictures that go with them for a small monthly fee less than you pay for cable each month or for your nails? That saves time and money…not to mention lip burn. Poor frogs! They are just trying to help

Use these reasons to consider online dating in the near future:

(1)  There is a wide range of men to choose from. You aren’t limited to the men in your social circle or work environment. Look around and explore options.

(2)  You have the opportunity to get to know a lot about a man before you ever contact him for the first time. You will know his age, marital status, what city he lives in, whether he has children, his height/weight and his likes and dislikes all from his profile. You’ll even see a picture of him. This should tell you if this is someone your at least interested in. Face it, looks do matter, at least off the bat. Why not look around a bit and find out what your taste is.

(3)  By making a profile. You have a better chance to present yourself in a favorable way., Point out some of the fun things that you do. Kinda like a resume but for your personal life. This is especially useful for those of us who are shy. We have time to think about how we want to say things about ourselves and can avoid being tongue tied. Even those who are more extroverted can take time to reflect on who they really are before writing their online profile. Play around a bit with your profile and try different things.

(4)  Online dating is certainly a time saver. You can meet so many more men in a lot less time than you ever could out in the real world. It can also have the opposite effect and you could find yourself in front of the computer all day. Try and find a nice balance between dating online and the real world.

New Online Dating Etiquette Rules That Women Need To Follow

If your not sure how to act when dating online, things are always changing. Just like dating out in the real world, online dating has its own set of rules and customs. Quite often these rules will be the same, but in some cases there are a few guidelines you may want to follow that wouldn’t always apply to your everyday, offline life.

Online Etiquette versus Offline Etiquette

Some people may think that because you€™re talking to someone online and you aren’t face to face, you don’t have to be polite. When chatting online, manners and courtesy may even be more important. Because all of your contact is through messaging and e-mail, a lot of your tone may be lost so acting even a little snotty could make you sound extremely rude. And if you don’t care how you sound, keep in mind that getting a bad online rep for yourself may limit your chances with some of the nicer guys out there.

Chivalry and Being a Lady

This isn’t old fashioned dating and you don’t have to wait for the guy you have your eye on to message you. Since he can’t see you batting your baby blues at him from across the room, sending the first message is perfectly acceptable. On an internet dating site, everyone is there to meet someone. Making the first move as a female is not only okay, it’s expected. You can make your profile stand out as much as you want, but there’s no way to know if he’ll ever stumble across it, so even if you want to still have a lady-like demeanor, send him a short and sweet message expressing some interest.

Be Honest and Be Yourself

It can be tempting to stretch the truth a little when talking to someone online since they have no way of seeing you or verifying who you are. However, if you have any intention of ever meeting up with anyone you’ve met from an online dating site, being honest is your best bet. It might be very difficult to try to explain yourself if any inconsistencies are discovered later on. Besides, if you’re trying to make a connection that could turn into something serious, wouldn’t you want them to be interested in the real you?

The main thing to stick to when dating online is just to be generally respectful. Sometimes you may get rejected, or you may reject someone else, but not everyone is going to be compatible and there shouldn’t be any hurt feelings. Accepting that someone may not be interested in you and being polite when turning someone else down will give you a much more positive online dating experience and will just get you that much closer to finding the right person.

Online Dating Tips All Men Need To Know

Doesn’t matter. Whether you’re new to online dating or you’ve been at it for awhile, there are a few practices you should follow to ensure you’re making the best impression and don’t come off like a crazed idiot pervert Grumpkin. Seriously….You may not know where to start or you might just not be getting the responses you’d like, so starting out strong or even trying a new approach may help you meet the woman you’ve been looking for.

Honesty Is the Best Policy

Meeting people online may seem like a good opportunity to reinvent yourself and maybe falsify a few aspects of your life to seem more interesting since the person on the other end can’t see you.  While fudging the truth might make you feel more confident and draw more online attention to yourself, it can come back to bite you if you ever want to meet the woman you’ve been talking to or start a serious relationship.

Using misleading photos or claiming to have an important job title with a large salary could be very awkward to try explaining when you go out on your first date and she realizes you aren’t who you say you are.  Your best bet is to be yourself and make a strong connection with someone who wants to meet the real you.

Honesty regarding your expectations is very important as well.  You can save a lot of heartache and hurt feelings for both parties if you’re clear about your thoughts on dating a single parent, a divorcee, or someone who smokes or drinks.  You don’t need to make a big red warning sign to post at the front of your profile, but gently putting your requirements out there will weed out the people you just won’t be compatible with.

Quality over Quantity

Rather than sending out a mass e-mail to every woman you find attractive, take the time to read through their profiles and determine first if you think they€™d be a good match for you.  If so, send a personal message and add some tidbits in there that show you€™ve read her profile and have taken a sincere interest.  Sending her something that is easy to respond too, for example asking her questions regarding something you’ve seen in her profile, could make a response more likely.

If At First You Don’t Succeed, Try, Try Again

With online dating, you’re not always going to get a positive response from someone you message.  Don’t let interactions like this discourage you.  The best approach is to show your interest, but avoid sending e-mail after e-mail if she doesn’t reply back.  The beauty of online dating is that the possibilities are endless, so while one woman may not be interested, you have the opportunity to meet many more who may be.

Online Dating Site Review FriendFinder.com

24441 468x60 Online Dating Site Review FriendFinder.com

FriendFinder.com is one of the biggest dating sites on the Internet. With  over 3 million active members and some great user features like  chat rooms, instant messaging,  email, webcams, blogs and many other things. Friend Finder is  easily one of the best dating sites out there and keeps the bar hight. Whether you are looking for  just friends or a serious relationship, this site is a great one to  check out

FreindFinder.com  is a pretty well advertised online dating site. The tour for the site is very simple and they don’t let you browse the site or look at the site in any way until you have registered for the site. I found the registration process to take a long time and I probably skipped over half of it. You can skip large portions of it, but it is still pretty involved. The good news is if you like the site and you want to use it you can go back in and fill out your profile in detail.

Detail is what FreindFinder.com is all about. There are many members with very detailed profiles and many pictures of themselves. The profiles ask a lot of questions and the site features both a basic search and a very impressive advanced search that lets you sift through the profiles and match them up with yours. The site is very easy to use and is well designed. It is mostly meant for those that are looking for a relationship, not just a hook-up.

Aside from the long signup process the only other down sides of the site is that there are not a lot of extras and there is a decent amount of advertising inside the member’s area. FriendFinder focuses its energy on the profiles and matching people through them so there are no webcams, or blogs or anything like that. Overall, the site is impressive and if you are looking for a relationship and want to take the time to fill out your profile in detail I would imagine this site would make just about anyone happy.

Online Dating Review – WebFriends and Match.com

WebfriendsGirl ForaNight468x60 Online Dating Review WebFriends and Match.com

Webfriends (Also known as Match.com) is a simple to use dating that that combines a traditional user interface with modern and new features. The site has an excellent selection of profiles to view and it is FREE to reply if the emails are initiated to you. Of course, no one actually sent me an email but I guess that is for the Australian hunks who take their shirt off first and have wavey hair. lol Okay ranting about having bad dating luck now. Fuck my life.

To start is relatively easy and the same as most sites, just create an account and within a couple minutes you will be surfing through profiles with glee. The users on this site seem to be young, confident and professional. That is one of the main bonusus about paying money to date online. It helps to weed out all the “;osers” who are too cheap to pay attention to what is going on around them.

I really enjoyed my time on the site and would recommend the Match.com site. These guys have been in businss for many years as it got started in 1999. The site and management that run it are professional and reliable. Their customer support is also on the ball and usually have questions answered within 24 hours.

When you create an account at Match.com you need not subscribe – you can use the free version. However, at Match.com the free version is limited to a few simple things:

  • Creating your profile
  • Viewing other profiles
  • Winking at other users

Price is pretty reasonable as well. It is in the medium range but you get a great experience and a good quality site. If your truly looking to find a wonderful soul mate that you could fall in love with, then this is likely the site for you. Good luck trolling and watch for fatties in disguise. Both Sexes!
